This is the second year of a major modification in how we present enrollment by program for all students (p. 9), first time students (p. 17), and transfer students (p. 20). Prior to the 2006 Data Book, these enrollment by program tables only included students’ first program of study (or “major”), but starting with the 2006 Data Book, we have included students’ second program of study for “dual majors”. This change allows us to accurately present the number of students enrolled in each program, but it also results in total enrollment numbers that over report College-wide enrollment because students who are simultaneously enrolled in two programs of study are double counted in the grand total. However, this is not a problem because precise College-wide enrollment counts are presented in other sections of the Data Book.
