President's Message

At Schenectady County Community College our top priority is the success of our students. We are firmly committed to providing accessible, quality higher education at an affordable price to help our 2,080 full-time students and 2,695 part-time students reach their goals.

SCCC's committed teaching faculty create stimulating classroom learning environments, and our small, friendly college atmosphere enables students to interact individually with their professors. Additionally, we regularly evaluate our academic programs and courses to ensure that our students are prepared for further study at a four-year institution and for an ever-changing marketplace.

Construction has begun on a $6.2 million Culinary Arts Addition which will include two new labs, a dedicated kitchen for the Casola Dining Room, a seminar room and a new dining room. The addition is part of our Campus Master Plan, which also includes expansion of our Music/Drama Wing in the Begley Building. These initiatives will enable us to continue to serve our students into the future.

We hope you will join us.
