Supply Chain Management A.A.S.

The program provides students with foundation instruction in core global supply chain management activities including transportation, purchasing and logistics, international logistics, inventory control and warehousing, and strategic management. The 62-credit degree program responds to projected employment needs in this field and includes a six-credit cooperative learning experience.

This degree prepares students for entry-level positions in the supply chain management field. The program provides students with an overview of the complex interdependencies that enable value-added activities from extraction of raw materials to final delivery of a consumer product. Students receive instruction in the essential components of global supply chain management including transportation, purchasing and logistics, international logistics, inventory control and warehousing, and strategic management.

SCCC's program provides core educational offerings and utilizes the cooperative experience to provide the job-related work experience component that potential employers are seeking.

Logisticians work in all fields and industries. Major employers in the Capital Region include General Electric, Global Foundries, SI Group, and hundreds of other large and small commercial enterprises. Graduates will be qualified for such positions as transportation operations manager, warehouse supervisor, materials handling specialist, or inventory control manager.
