Robert Farsted Wins a $10,000 Fellowship

 

Robert FarstadCity of Schenectady Fire Chief and adjunct FPT Instructor, Robert Farstad won a $10,000 Fellowship through the United States Fire Administration. He took part in a three-week course study at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

This past June, Chief Farsted participated in the course, named "Senior Executives in State & Local Government." There were 44 participants from all walks of life and from as many governments, including the US, Ireland, and Philippines. New directors of the offices of Domestic Preparedness and the Department of Homeland Security, a number of State Legislators, Senators, Mayors, City and County Managers, 2- Police Chiefs and 2 Fire Chiefs helped make it a challenging and interesting course.
