New Advisory Committee
Members
|
| The Community Services Advisory Committee provides Continuing Education staff with input about new initiatives, suggestions for programming, and connections with movers and shakers in our community who help us meet our annual goals. Committee appointments carry a 3-year term and each year, as we bid farewell to a couple of retiring members, we welcome their replacements with open arms. |
| This year we bid farewell to Mr. William Diman, Schenectady County Director of Human Resource Development, and Ms. Katie Hilton, former Business Developer with Manpower, Inc. Both have served three-year terms and we appreciate everything they did for us while serving on our advisory committee. |
|
We are pleased to be joined this year by Ms. Mary L. Anderson, Coordinator of the Schenectady Chamber of Commerce's Business/Education Partnership and Mr. Butch Conn, Coordinator of the Downtown Arts District for Proctor's Theatre. We look forward to tapping the expertise each will bring to the table. Ms. Anderson has been heavily involved in school-to-careers programming for in-school and out-of-school youth and is currently working with College and OneStop partners on the development of a new Certificate of Employability initiative which holds great promise for the County's economic development efforts. |
Mr. Conn is a stalwart in the local music
scene and has involved
himself with past College music events which have brought high school
students to the College campus. Currently he is working with CED staff
to enrich music and art offerings at the 440 State Street extension site. |

We look forward to introducing Ms. Anderson and Mr. Conn to our current Community Services Advisory Committee members and to profiting from their expertise in our future endeavors. Welcome aboard! |
