Executive Briefing:
"LOGISTICS AFTER 9/11"
The tragic
events of September 11, 2001 have transformed the lives of
Americans forever. For American businesses, logistics has a new face and it is
uncertain what the future holds for worldwide cargo security.
On Tuesday, February
26, 2002 the Capital Region World Trade Center in cooperation with
Team Worldwide presented Logistics after 9/11:
Cargo Security & The New Frontier of
Logistics. This half-day Executive Briefing was held at the
Albany International
Airport 3rd Floor Observation Deck from 8:00am to 12:30pm. It was designed to
inform importers, exporters, and domestic shippers of the changes that have and
continue to be made related to logistics, and the new cargo security responsibilities
that companies now have. This briefing included presentations by representatives of
the U.S. Customs Service, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
and British Airways World Cargo.
The Capital Region World Trade Center (CRWTC) is one of over 300 World
Trade Centers located in approximately 100 countries around the world. It
is a non-profit membership-based organization assisting businesses to be
competitive in the global marketplace. CRWTC, serving the greater Capital,
Mohawk Valley and North Country Regions is owned by Schenectady County and
operated by Schenectady County Community College.
