I hope you enjoy this "lite" edition of Stone Soup. The purpose of the Lite Edition is to inform you about summer offerings in Continuing Education before you receive our next regular edition, which will be packed full of data-rich information about our successful Spring Semester.
Summer term is always a busy one for Continuing Education. Not only do we manage all of the College's day and evening credit course offerings, but we also offer a full range of non-credit courses, and we operate very special programs which serve community needs.
Among these is the Summer Youth Program, which serves at-risk youth who might not otherwise consider SCCC after graduation from high school. By coming to our campus to undertake the educational component of a work-based summer experience, these special students gain the opportunity to sample college courses, utilize our computer labs and library, and enjoy a sense of student life in our Commons.
We are pleased to collaborate with the County of Schenectady to offer programs which serve the needs of our total community. Please take a moment to learn about these and other summer offerings in this Lite Edition of Stone Soup.
