CRWTC Welcomes the Ambassador of Vietnam to the United States

During a historical visit to the campus of Union College in Schenectady, New York, on March 28th, His Excellency, Nguyen Tam Chien, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the United States made it clear that Vietnam was on the road to joining the global economic community and that entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO) cannot come soon enough. Schenectady County Community College Watercolor Exhibition

May 6-May 20th, 2002

Each semester, adjunct art instructor Sharon Morrill leads her students in an art experience. After 13 weeks of instruction and production, students take their learning through the exhibition process. They choose their favorite works, mat them, frame them, and exhibit them at the Begley Library.

 

"Professional" Baking for Children

Come and join Chef Gail Sokol for a hands-on, one week baking camp and learn culinary secrets that only chefs know. This camp is for the serious young chef who will learn how to bake scrumptious goodies that they can sample and take home to friends and family. Family members are welcome to enjoy our goodies on the last day of class. (continued)

Non-Credit's Creative Mixology Instructor, Steve Pelosi, has a Secret Identity

When Steve Pelosi first began teaching Creative Mixology, our bartending course, at SCCC in February 2001 his first class consisted of 8 students. Over a year later, the course is consistently filled to capacity. Students have even asked to be placed on wait lists in order to participate in the course. What makes this course so popular? Besides the fact that these students are mixing alcohol and learning to work a variety of different bartending settings, part of the course's success must be Steve's love of his job - both teaching and bartending. Non-Credit Summer Courses at SCCC

Schenectady County Community College (SCCC) offers its students and the community the opportunity for professional development or personal enhancement through the Division of Continuing Education's non-credit schedule. Students are offered a variety of non-credit courses in areas such as Computer Technology, Children's Courses, Music, and General Interest. (continued)
