The SCCC Center for The Arts - 440 State St. Schenectady NY 12305
SCCC studio art courses are held at 440 State Street in downtown Schenectady, two doors east of the entrance to Proctor's Theatre on State Street. This location has been renovated by Proctor's Theatre in cooperation with Schenectady County, as the initial phase of the revitalization of downtown Schenectady project. This project seeks to create an all new arts and entertainment district in downtown Schenectady.
The Proctor's 440 State Street Art Center currently houses the SCCC studio art courses on the first floor. This space features new classrooms and common areas specially designed for studio art courses. SCCC's arts initiatives will help to bring the potential of this building to its fulfillment as a centerpiece for arts education, as well as enhance the learning experience of all SCCC arts students. Parking Instructions - Weekends and after 3:30 PM on weekdays, students should park in the Key Bank parking lot, accessible from Clinton Street behind the building. As you enter the parking lot, on your right will be the rear entrances to buildings that front onto State Street. SCCC art courses are held in the third building from Clinton Street. The door will be posted with an SCCC sign and the instructor and/or assistant will be there to greet you. Doors are locked during class to assure the safety of our students. Instructors will unlock the doors 5 minutes prior to the start of class and at the end of class.
Students whose classes begin before 3:30 PM on weekdays cannot park in the Key Bank lot. Students may instead use the Proctor's lot, which is the left lot just before the Key Bank lot off of Clinton Street.
Students who park in the Key Bank lot between 9 AM and 3:30 PM may be towed at their own expense.

Family Investment Center - 120 Emmons St. Schenectady NY 12305
The FIC houses several agencies that work as a team to bring federally assisted housing residents in the City of Schenectady opportunities for learning as well as career advancement. The FIC was created to enhance family life bring about a condition of economic self sufficiency.
Virginia Santiago, Family Investment Center Coordinator, is responsible for the program development and acts as liaison between the Schenectady Municipal Housing Authority and the agencies housed at the FIC. She provides assistance to residents with starting and operating their own business, helps with creating a business plan and securing financing, and locating jobs that match resident skill levels and interests, as well as linking residents to training opportunities.
SCCC offers 3 to 4 college courses per semester at the Family Investment
Center.

The Electric City Rock Gym is a full-service indoor rock climbing gym that offers a fun and challenging experience for climbers of all levels. The gym is located in the Center City Sportsplex in downtown Schenectady, NY. The Electric City Rock Gym is new to the Capitol Region and offers some of the best climbing around.
From the main climbing wall, the tallest in the Capital Region, to the top level bouldering area, the Electric City Rock Gym offers something for everyone. The gym is air conditioned for cool comfort during the hot summer days and nights and has a brand new locker room with showers.
