Introduction to Archaeology
This course explores the methods and theories of
anthropological archaeology as they relate to the
understanding of human prehistory as revealed in the
archeological record. The course concentrates on basic
concepts, methodology, theories about the past and
explanations for human cultural development. The
scope is world wide and emphasizes preliterate non-
Western cultures.
