Introduction to Desktop Publishing
The student will be introduced to desktop publishing concepts and terminology using a word processing software application program on a PC in a Windows environment. The student will create attractive, professional looking documents using design elements including font sizes, font styles, graphics, lines and spacing techniques. The student will apply desktop publishing concepts in the production of a variety of business, personal and promotional documents, and publications including internal documents, letterheads, business cards, fliers, brochures, tables, charts, presentation materials, newsletters, reports, manuals, and booklets. Additional laboratory hours are required.
