Personal Computer Repair
This course covers operating principles and systems of a generic PC. Students will study operating principles, the structure and components on motherboards, bus structure, peripheral card slots, serial and parallel ports, drives, video cards, CD-ROM drives, memory systems and sound cards. Students in this course will disassemble and reassemble a PC to become familiar with its various components, and change the configuration working PC's. Diagnostic hardware and software will be used to troubleshoot a PC.
