Changes in the Food Marketing Environment

The real battle for the consumer dollar is the fiercest in history. The vendor/manufacturer segment is also engaged in a desperate struggle to hold and gain market share. These and other situations such as acquisitions, mergers, downsizing and ultimate job losses will be discussed. This course will review the many changes occurring in the food industry. Who is buying whom and why? Will re-engineering really work? Are new formats and concepts the solution?
