Introduction to Social Work and Social Welfare
This course introduces students to the social work profession in the United States and its philosophical, historical, and ethical dimensions. Students will be introduced to core social work theory, skills, and best practices associated with them. Current issues in social work affecting local, state, and national social programs; agencies; and individuals will be introduced and discussed.
