What
Are They Saying About The EJO? |
The
EJO's CDs |
|
"In life
there are sometimes memorable epiphanies that occasionally shed
light into corners of our lives. When I went to Schenectady to
appear with the Empire Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Bill
Meckley, the bright light of one of these epiphanies was awaiting
my arrival within the embodiment of that wonderful orchestra.
Their performance was dense with talent and spirit... and anticipation,
a necessary element in jazz. They sent music out into the medium
of the air mercifully searching out waiting ears and hearts that
were completely fulfilled... including my own. Would we had more
like them." - Benny Golson

its performances of original scores of important composers and
