William Meckley, Chair, Professor, Director of Jazz Ensemble, literature and style, brass performance. Music Director, Empire Jazz Orchestra. Ph.D., Eastman School of Music; M.M., Ohio University; B.A., Fairmont State College. Conducting course studies with Rayburn Wright, Donald Hunsberger, David Effron. Trombone Studies with Reginald Fink, George Osborn. Professional performances with Aretha Franklin, Yes, The Manhattan Transfer, Burt Bacharach, Roger Daltrey and John Entwhistle, Rosemary Clooney, Johnny Mathis, Nick Brignola, St. Cecilia Chamber Orchestra, Albany Pro Musica, Albany, Schenectady, Catskill, Utica Symphonies, Alex Torres and The Latin Kings Orchestra, Nelson Riddle Orchestra, Doug Sertl Big Band, George Burns, Carol Channing, Mitzi Gaynor, Andy Williams, Schenectady Brass Quintet, Albany Symphony Brass Quintet, Mosiev Dance Company of the USSR, numerous national Broadway and other tours (Proctors Theatre). Professional tour performances in Europe, Canada, Jordan. Recordings with the Empire Jazz Orchestra, Albany Symphony, Alex Torres and the Latin Kings Orchestra. Brett Wery, Professor, Wind Ensemble, Woodwinds, theory, aural skills, conducting chamber music.  M.A. University of Denver; B.M. North Carolina School of the Arts. Clarinet studies with Robert Listokin, Charles Neidich; saxophone with Arthur Bouton, Steven Mauk. Conducting studies with Peter Perret, F. Joseph Docksey, Vincent LaGuardia. Conductor of Saratoga Springs Youth Orchestra Wind Ensemble. Member of Empire Jazz Orchestra. Frequent performer as recitalist and in chamber ensembles. Professional performances with Albany, Catskill, Berkshire, Schenectady, Utica, Vermont Symphonies; St. Cecilia Chamber Orchestra. Extensive freelance performances including Rosemary Clooney, Tommy Tune, Mitzi Gaynor. Numerous national touring companies. Member of Westchester Broadway Theatre Orchestra. National tours with Annie and 42nd St. Recordings with Empire Jazz Orchestra, Albany Symphony, Dogs of Desire. Recipient of the SCCC Foundation Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Master Classes with David Tanenbaum, Peter Segal, Lily Afshar. Member, Empire Jazz Orchestra and Captain Squeeze and the Zydeco Moshers. Performances with Albany Pro Musica, Proctor's Theatre Orchestra. Frequent classical recitalist and freelance musician in New York and New Jersey. Professional performances with Theodore Bikel, Nick Brignola, Carol Channing, Robert Goulet, Lew Soloff, Guitarras Cuatro, El Jaleo, Mendelsshon Club. Recordings with The Orchestra of St. Peter by the Sea, Westminster Choir College Youth Chorale, Co-founder, Capital District Classical Guitar Society. YiPing Wu, Assistant Professor, Director of Chorus, Vocal Chamber Ensemble, theory, aural skills, voice performance.  D.M.A., University of Iowa; M.M., Radford University; B.M.E., Nanjing Normal University, Nanjing, China. Additional studies at New Mexico State University, Jiatlong University, Shanghai Musicians Association. Extensive experience as college and secondary and elementary school choral conductor including Fudan University, Shanghai Children's Palace Choir, Haiyun Community Chorus (NYC). Founder/Director of music rehabilitation program for juvenile delinquents, Shanghai.
