Office of AdmissionsEducational Opportunity ProgramOffice of Admissions Home Page SCCC's Educational Opportunity Program, (EOP), is a program of academic support and financial assistance for disadvantaged New York State students who show promise for mastering college level work, given assistance. Determination of eligibility is made when a student is accepted to college as a freshman. A student must initially be enrolled on a full-time basis to qualify. Transfer students maybe considered for admission if they were enrolled in a College Discovery, EOP, HEOP (Higher Educational Opportunity Program), SEEK (Search for Education, Elevation and Knowledge) or a similar academic and financial support program at a previous college. If you are looking to transfer and EOP or a similar program did not exist at your former college, you should notify the transfer college, as well as SCCC's Coordinator of EOP. Students accepted into the Educational Opportunity Program receive special tutoring and academic assistance to aid in their success at SCCC. Special advisement, educational programs, and counseling (career, transfer and personal) are all services provided to EOP participants. Please see below for a complete list of program services available to eligible EOP participants. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Coordinator by calling (518) 381-1279, or send an e-mail to peltonj@gw.sunysccc.edu. Application Requirements
