Frequently Asked QuestionsHow do I borrow materials found in WorldCat via Interlibrary Loan? If you are searching in WorldCat and find a book in the "List of Records" you would like to obtain, first check to see if Begley Library owns the book. If a green highlighted "SCHENECTADY CNTY COMMUN COL" follows the title in your list, Begley Library owns the book. If we do not own the book, you may be able to obtain the title from another library via Interlibrary Loan (ILL). At Begley Library, we use the ILLiad software to handle our ILL requests. Patrons can create their own ILLiad accounts to make ILL requests and track their progress. If you click on the "Go" button following "Interlibrary Loan with ILLiad," an ILLiad logon window appears. If you are a first time user, follow the instructions for creating an account. An advantage to having an ILLiad account is that once you have created it, and are logged into it, every time you click on the ILL button in the SFX Services Window for a book, the citation automatically populates your ILLiad request for you. There is also an ILLiad quicklink at the top of the Begley web pages.
