How do I access the library databases from off campus?

Beginning January, 2008 you will no longer need to use library card barcode to access datbases from off campus. Users will use a SCCC User ID Login and Password, in fact, the same ID as your Angel login, using the formula below.

When you attempt to use a Begley Library database from our Find Articles page from off-campus, a window will appear with instructions for inputting your User ID in order to gain access.

UserIDs follow a common formula:

[first 6 letters of their last name][first initial][middle initial]

(e.x. Susan L. Bearcambridge = bearcasl)

Exceptions to this are made in the case of common last names

Default passwords follow a common formula:
Birthdate in the form of MMDDYY with @sccc at the end

(e.x. July 12, 1950 = 071250@sccc)
