To gain Web-based access to BLISS, the Begley Library
Information Services System (our online catalog of books, selected periodicals
and media materials):
-
Web Access method: Select
WEB2.
This is a new World Wide Web interface and makes searching easier and more
powerful, including subject hot-links. It allows you to search BLISS
by using a list of our Document Types.
It also allows you search more than 40 other SUNY campus online catalogs.
If you have problems gaining access to Web2, try an alternate server, Backup
Web2.
-
EBooks: BLISS now has over 1,280 full text ebooks in its catalog! These are courtesy
of netLibrary and SUNYConnect. You may browse them using Web2, and click on "Related URL: Bibliographic records display". You may also
"check out" a book for four hours but you must first create
an account on the SCCC campus to do so. For more details go to netLibrary.
- Classrooms. At
Begley we have the ability to instruct students and faculty in the use
of information skills. In B104, the Library Conference Room, there
is seating or up to 35, as well as a teacher workstation and overhead projector.
In B212, we have access to a 25-seat elecronic classroom most afternoons.
This room has PCs for all 25 seats and also has a teacher workstation.
