I obtained a library card and barcode but I still can not access the library databases. What do I need to do?
If you have obtained your library card recently, say, within the last several days, your barcode may not yet be posted to the library proxy server, which allows you access. You should have also obtained a temporary barcode to use until your own barcode is posted. at the time you obtained you library card. If you did not receive, or you have lost or forgotten your tempororary barcode, you can call the Begley Library Reference Desk at 381-1239 during library hours. A librarian can give you the temporary barcode after verifying that you are a member of the SCCC community. Generally, your own barcode should become active in 1-2 weeks.
