Liaison Information

For a number of years, Begley Library has assigned librarians to serve as liaison contacts to the academic departments and other areas of the College. These assignments enhance communication between the Library and the various areas of the College, especially in regard to collection development. Please contact your department's liaison if you would like to suggest items for purchase or be involved in collection development.

Collaboration with your department's library liaison is not limited to collection development. Some additional areas of collaboration between librarians and faculty members that have been successful in the past include the preparation of library assignments, coordination and provision of library instructional sessions, creation of exhibits in the library, and construction bibliographies and pathfinders in a specific subject area.
