SCCC Student Email access instructions:

Your SCCC email account is provided through the College at Microsoft’s Live@EDU. Your SCCC email is the official way that the College will communicate with you electronically regarding important due dates, events, etc.

In order to access your new e-mail account, you can go to: http://outlook.com, and enter your SCCC assigned full email address in the format (username@live.sunysccc.edu) as the user ID and the password as described below.

Spring 2012 new registered students:

Your username and password information can be retrieved securely by following the next few steps:

1. Go to SCCC web site at http://www.sunysccc.edu
2. Click on "Student Registration & Records" link on the left hand side of the page
3. Log in to the student registration system (Banner Self-Service) at https://bweb1.sunysccc.edu:8065/pls/PROD/twbkwbis.P_WWWLogin using your SCCC 9-digit ID and your PIN established upon registration
4. Click on the "User Login Info for MySCCC Portal, Email, ANGEL, and Network" link
5. When you are finished, please Exit and close your browser to protect your privacy.
6. Go to SCCC web site at http://www.sunysccc.edu
7. Click on the MySCCC link on the right hand-side or click here to access MySCCC portal

Spring 2012 continuing students who attended Fall 2011 term:

1. Go to SCCC web site at http://www.sunysccc.edu
2. Click on the MySCCC link on the right hand-side or click here to access MySCCC portal

Continuing students that did not attend SCCC since Fall of 2010 semester:

All SCCC student e-mails were migrated to Microsoft’s Live@EDU service over the summer of 2011.
Your new mailbox, Username@live.sunysccc.edu has been created and is ready for access.
Access to your former e-mail address Username@sunysccc.edu via SCCC's Web Outlook e-mail system (https://mail.sunysccc.edu/owa/) ceased.

Please also note that, in an effort to maintain better security practices, the password convention for your account was also changed to a random one and, since August 9, 2011, the password for your current SCCC account used to access items such as MySCCC portal, email, ANGEL, on-campus computers, the wireless system and library articles was reset and can be retrieved securely by following the next few steps:

1. Go to SCCC web site at http://www.sunysccc.edu
2. Click on "Student Registration & Records" link on the left hand side of the page
3. Log in to the student registration system (Banner Self-Service)* at https://bweb1.sunysccc.edu:8065/pls/PROD/twbkwbis.P_WWWLogin using your SCCC 9-digit ID and your PIN established upon registration
4. Click on the "User Login Info for MySCCC Portal, Email, ANGEL, and Network" link
5. When you are finished, please Exit and close your browser to protect your privacy.

If you have any questions regarding these changes, please contact the Schenectady County Community College Information Technology Helpdesk via phone at (518) 381-1487 and press option 5 or via e-mail at helpdesk@sunysccc.edu.

*Please note that three unsuccessful login attempts will disable your access. Enter User ID and click "Forgot PIN" button before this happens. Please contact the Registrar’s Office at (518)381-1348 if you disabled your Banner PIN.
