SCCC@Center City Expansion Complete

Rendow Anderson, a Criminal Justice major, gets ready for class in the newly expanded student lounge/study area on the Second Floor of Center City. He takes all of his classes this semester there. "It's really new; everything is so neat here," he said.

The SCCC @ Center City site has been a popular choice for students since the College first began offering courses in the downtown Schenectady building in Fall 2011. To capitalize on a good thing, College officials decided to expand at Center City, after hearing input from students, faculty and staff. Work has been completed on the second floor, adjacent to classrooms already being used by SCCC. The new 11,100-square-foot space has four classrooms with two computer labs, outdoor seating, space for faculty offices and a lounge area. The College now offers even more classes during peak daytime periods, as well as during the evening.
