SCCC Foundation Gala to Celebrate 40th Anniversary of SCCC Foundation and Pay Tribute in Memoriam to Prescott Brown, Professor and Alumnus

WHAT: 300 Capital Region business and community leaders will gather on Friday evening, November 16, 2012, at Glen Sanders Mansion, to celebrate the major advancements of Schenectady County Community College (SCCC). The event will highlight the 40th Anniversary of the SCCC Foundation and pay tribute in memoriam to Prescott Brown, a longtime professor at the College, and an alumnus of SCCC. Brown was a member of the College's first graduating class in 1971. The event will kick off at 6 p.m. with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and networking, followed by a gourmet dinner. Jan Smith, a principal with Castle Rock Ranch Group, LLC, will emcee. The gala raises funds to support the SCCC Foundation's mission to advance and support the College's mission to ensure student success. Individual reservations are $100 and alumni, students, faculty/staff and under 35 reservations are $75.
