Personal Counseling

Helping students to help themselves

The community college experience is uniquely challenging. These challenges can create opportunities for new personal and professional growth. This new growth can also serve to create or elevate levels of distress in areas such as relationships, decision-making, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, adjustment to college, and family issues.  Counseling is typically a beneficial experience for most people. The opportunity to explore feelings, thoughts, and behaviors with a skilled counselor can result in the successful resolution of problems and concerns created by the transition to college life. Please consider scheduling an appointment with us if you are in need of assistance. Through the assessment process, the counselor will determine if it is appropriate for a student to utilize the counseling office or if he/she would be better served by a community agency.
