What Is New Student Orientation?

Welcome to Schenectady County Community College!  As you begin your New Student Experience at SCCC we encourage you take time and attend one of our New Student Orientation Sessions.  These one-hour information sessions are designed to help you prepare for your first day of classes and ensure that you make a smooth transition into college.   The facilitator will provide an overview of the required steps you need to take before you start classes and help you create your New Student Checklist.

What Is New Student Convocation?

New Student Convocation is a two-day convention style event featuring a collection of workshops, seminars, and activities that will introduce you to college life and prepare you for your  first year college experience.  Through engaging, creative, and thoughtful programming you will lay the foundation for personal, academic, and professional  growth and build skills that will support your overall success.
