- New Student Orientation
Student Services at SCCC
Learn more about how SCCC provides a well-rounded College experience.
Schenectady County Community College embraces families and parents as partners in support of our studentsí successful journey through college. It is in this spirit that family members and guardians are welcome to attend Family Orientation. Students attending a New Student Orientation should register expected guests at the time of the conference registration. This helps us plan for the event, but it is not a formal commitment. Family members and guests are welcome at all conferences and, if attending, will follow a separate schedule of events.
Family Orientation offers the opportunity to learn more about the College, its staff, facilities, services and resources available to incoming students. Typical topics include: discussions of the academic environment including academic advising and academic support services, residential life, financial, counseling and health services, and opportunities for leadership and social interaction.
