The counseling component of Wellness and Support Services provides a variety of resources and services from crisis intervention and consultation to referrals and hands-on workshops. During the Fall 2013 semester, Dr. Ellen Wertlieb, Director of Wellness and Support Services, can be used as the first point of contact for students who may be feeling stressed and would benefit from someone with whom to talk in order to clarify issues. Strategies and tools to overcome obstacles and facilitate success are discussed as is information about individual-specific resources. Referrals are also made to outside providers for personal counseling and other services not available on the SCCC campus.
