Food For Thought & All That Jazz is not just about great food and music, but also about coming together as a community to help students succeed. Your presence at this event will help raise funds for SUNY Schenectady Foundation to make a positive impact in our community.

About Our Honorary Chair Ellen Sax

Ellen Sax joined MVP Health Care in February 2014 and currently serves as the Vice President of Community Engagement.

In addition to developing and implementing MVP’s philanthropic focus, Ellen is responsible for expanding MVP's presence in the community through charitable giving, employee engagement and partnerships with nonprofit organizations and community groups throughout MVP Health Care’s footprint. Prior to joining MVP, Ellen was the Vice President for Community Relations at KeyBank.

Ellen holds an M.P.A. from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and an M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling from Syracuse University where she also received her undergraduate degree.

Ellen participates in a number of community endeavors including board chair of the B’nai B’rith Gideon Foundation and trustee for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation (CCF) Upstate Northeastern NY Chapter. She also serves on the Board Emeriti of the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region, and the Albany Symphony Orchestra’s Task Force on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. In addition, Ellen serves on the Berkshire Bank Capital Region Advisory Council.
