SUNY Schenectady offers non-credit music learning opportunities for the enrichment of the community. Students wishing to pursue professional music studies should contact the SUNY Schenectady School of Music. SUNY Schenectady is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music. School of Music – Summer Trombone Institute

This four-day intensive seminar for middle school and high school students ages 11-18 is dedicated to the study of the trombone, with an emphasis on performance and pedagogy. Euphonium and tuba students are also welcome. Led by and featuring premiere freelance musicians and educators in the area, the Capital Region Summer Trombone Institute will provide students an educational laboratory to learn, play, and listen. This four-day intensive seminar for high school students ages 14-18 is dedicated to learning the basics of Pro Tools audio recording software, participating in a live recording session in SUNY Schenectady’s Vianna-Brignola Recording Studio, and mixing/mastering a final recording project. Piano Lessons for Adults
