Professor Farron started as an adjunct instructor at SUNY Schenectady in January 1997 and transitioned into a full-time role in January 2002. He also serves as a Program Coordinator for the Disney College Program and Business Internships, and as Faculty Liaison for the Capital Region Chamber of Commerce Boot Camp course for students interested in entrepreneurship. Professor Farron has been highly active with committee work during his tenure at the college, including his stint as Curriculum Committee Chairperson in 2013-2014, and membership on the Middle States Self-Study Steering Committee from 2006 – 2009. His collaboration with local organizations such as the Albany Devils, Empire State Aerosciences Museum, Yoga Bliss, and the Capital Region Chamber of Commerce, has provided his students a unique, interactive learning experience in many of his courses. Professor Farron was awarded the SUNY Schenectady Foundation Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2007 and the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2008.
