Music certificate

This program is intended for those who wish to pursue development as a trained music professional. Students are qualified to seek employment as performers, private or group music lesson instructors, in music retail, or in entry level positions in the music industry. Many students elect to continue advanced music study by auditioning for one of the School of Music degree programs.

No audition is required for entry into the Music Certificate program.

The Music Certificate program will enable graduates to develop:

  • Musicianship through the study of a major instrument or voice;
  • Basic theoretical and analytical musical skills, and
  • Basic awareness of the evolution of western music.
