The Hospitality and Tourism Management A.A.S. degree program at SUNY Schenectady prepares students for direct employment in the hospitality and tourism industry. Students gain theoretical and hands-on experience related to inbound and outbound tourism, qualifying them to assume a variety of roles in the hospitality and tourism profession.

Program Learning Outcomes
- Students will examine the scope, structure, and societal impact of the hospitality and tourism industry, recognizing its role in fostering inclusive experiences and contributing to local and global communities.
- Students will analyze historical developments and emerging trends in hospitality and tourism, applying innovative thinking to adapt to evolving industry landscapes and diverse guest needs.
- Students will demonstrate essential competencies in hospitality and tourism operations, including leadership, service excellence, and ethical decision-making, preparing them for success in a dynamic and diverse industry.
- Students will utilize current technologies to enhance communication, collaboration, and professional presentation skills, supporting effective engagement with multicultural audiences and industry stakeholders.
